May, Mary, and common threads
May 1st.
So many things to love about May.
1. It is the month of MARY!
2. It is my baby boy's birthday on the 8th! TEENAGER.
3. SPRING...it can't be cold and rainy forever, right? RIGHT???!!!!!!!
4. Mother's Day...which yes, can be hard for many and not celebrated by all UNLESS you celebrate Our Lady, the Blessed MOTHER! We should ALL do that!
There are a few things I will be doing to honor Jesus this month, through His gift of Mary, and my prayer is that I will be taking the time to pop on over here every now and again and share these things with you.
Yes. My prayer. Because my ideas tend to stay in my head more often than not.
The first happening this May is an event near and dear to my own heart, and I would like to invite you to join me!
The event is COMMON THREADS : a benefit, dinner, and silent auction that is all about spreading the message of HOPE!!! The C.A.R.E.S. Group is a mother and son founded LIFE LINE for anyone dealing with the emotions of shame, guilt, denial and flat out CHAOS that mental illness, addiction and suicide bring upon families.
I do not say LIFE LINE lightly nor am I being dramatic.
AND...if this struggle has touched you personally and you are in desperate need of guidance because NOTHING MAKES SENSE and you have forgotten how to breathe and WHY? WHY? WHY?.....please...reach out to C.A.R.E.S. Never before in my life have I witnessed the hand of God and His Mother SO obviously, than in the work of this amazing mother and son who have made it their personal life's mission to shed light on these difficult issues, so that we can not only find guidance and support...but ultimately...healing.
