SWEET CROSS WORKSHOP
Before you choose your "word of the year" or make all kinds of resolutions that, more often than not, amount to nothing but the feeling of failure, put this on your calendar and carve out some space for a better way to take your first steps into 2023.
Beginning on Tuesday, January 3rd, at 10 am and 7 pm, I will offer 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Tier Patrons a one-hour "Sweet Cross Workshop." (choose one session to attend, not both!)
I will cover 2-3 chapters each Tuesday in January, breaking down a virtue and why we need it. If attendance is low, we can engage in a group discussion. If attendance is on a larger scale, these workshops will be more of a "webinar" style, and you can share thoughts and prayers in the chat box. All classes will be given LIVE. If you can not make a session, a recording will be available.
At the end of each session, you will receive a PDF of the notes and main takeaways.
The goal is personal holiness in 2023 using embracing our cross and growing in virtue.
I am looking forward to this New Year journey with you!

NEW YEAR WORKSHOP: SWEET CROSS
2023: The Year of Embracing our Suffering and Growing in Virtue
Presented by Laura Phelps
OVERVIEW & PURPOSE
We have such high hopes for our lives on January 1st, and that's a good thing. But our lofty ideas and goals often result in disappointment and failure. Not this year. This year we will pursue personal holiness, desiring to obtain heaven by embracing our suffering and growing in virtue.
Your cross ;-)
We will meet every Tuesday in January. There are two opportunities for you to do the workshop: a morning session (10 am EST) and an evening session (7 pm EST).
Tuesday, January 3rd, chapters 1-3
Tuesday, January 10th, chapters 4-6
Tuesday, January 17th, chapters 7-9
Tuesday, January 24th, chapters 10-11
Tuesday, January 31st, chapters 12-13
The workshops will be presented on zoom, and the link will be mailed out to Patrons via Patreon each week.
Laura will present a weekly talk based on the chapters being covered. If the attendance size is intimate, there can be a group discussion. Otherwise, participants can comment and share their thoughts in the chat box. At the end of each session, participants will receive a PDF in their inbox covering all notes and main takeaways.
