why my light ring is under my desk

Remember when I used to blog?

If you are a new subscriber, first of all...welcome! I am truly so happy to have you here. But you might be wondering...why on earth did I subscribe to a blogger who doesn't ever blog?

And you are not entirely wrong.

Here is the scoop.

When Covid hit and my speaking events were canceled, I went into virtual overdrive. It was all that we had, after all. I set up a Patreon website, took my speaking on Zoom, offered virtual book clubs, and eventually purchased a light ring because staring at yourself on a screen...well...need I say more?

But we are emerging my friends, and glory be to God!

My light ring is UNDER my desk.

I am ready to roll.

What does this mean?

For starters, there will be more activity in this space - which I know - is not saying much. Think of this as less blog, more inspirational shout-out with zero rhyme or reason but inspired by the Holy Spirit and so it can't be all that bad.

You might have noticed that my Saved and Scent side hustle is no longer on the side...in fact...it is gone completely. Only Jesus is on my side :-) This has opened up way more time and space for me to write over at Patreon and to promote my new book.

What's happening at Patreon? Well, so much...thanks for asking!

On August 13 all Patrons (no matter how much or how little you pledge) will begin our re-consecration to Jesus through Mary! (for first-timers, it will be consecration!) This consecration was the HIGHLIGHT of our lives - for real -so I encourage you to join us. Please note, unlike last year, I will not be using Instagram for daily consecration postings. Truth be told...I had to break up with Instagram. I will be using it to promote my new book and keep you in the loop...but if I am being honest, Instagram makes me feel bad about my life and I hate when my phone is in my hand. I'd rather hold a latte. Or a newborn baby. Or a fluffy kitten. Or my rosary beads. Or a burrito. Not my phone. The end.

Late Fall I will be hosting a virtual book club using my new soon-to-be-released book, Sweet Cross: A Marian Guide to Suffering. There will be daily study guide reflections and questions posted on Patreon and a weekly virtual small group discussion. Please note, this book club is available to Third and Fourth Tier Patrons only - who will also receive a free, signed copy of my book plus many other fun freebies!

And finally, I am so excited to announce...IN-PERSON SPEAKING IS ON, PEOPLE!

My calendar is posted on this website and I am looking forward to filling it up! I have begun to book seasonal events already (Advent, Lent) and would love to help you kick off your Bible Study, Women's Group, Moms Group, whatever! I will speak to your pets if you want me to! The Lord is calling to me loud and clear...it is time to get back out there! Time we get back to praising the Lord in community!
